Arrival by Flight
To get to Oaxaca, fly into Xoxocotlán International Airport (OAX). There are international direct flights to Oaxaca from Dallas, Houston, and Los Angeles. Most other flight options will have a layover in Mexico City. Please consider that extra time is necessary for customs and passport control in Mexico City.
Travel to City Center
Taxi services at Xoxocotlán Airport can easily transport you to Centro Historico. Purchase tickets for taxi services (the shuttle bus, or Colectivo, is our go-to) at the kiosk inside the airport before leaving the building. The trip will take ~20 minutes, and rates range between 200 and 300 pesos, or 12 to 18 dollars. Additionally, many hotels offer shuttle services, but may require advance notice.
